This summary is here to help you read what follows. The numbered sections are the terms.
1Agreeing to these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and DocuNest (“we”, “us”) about your use of All Docs Viewer (the “app”). By installing or using the app, you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the app, and uninstall it.
You must be old enough to enter into a binding agreement where you live, or have the permission of a parent or guardian who accepts these terms for you.
2What the app does
All Docs Viewer opens documents already on your Android device, including PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OpenDocument, text and image files. It keeps them in one library where you can browse, search, bookmark, share, rename and delete them. It works offline, needs no account and has no internet access.
Our Privacy Policy explains how the app handles information and forms part of these terms.
3Your licence
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to install and use the app on Android devices you own or control. You may use it for personal purposes or your own internal business purposes, under these terms and the terms of the store you got it from.
The app is licensed to you, not sold. We keep every right we do not expressly give you.
4Your documents
Your documents belong to you. We claim no rights in them, and the app never sends them to us.
- You are responsible for having the right to open, copy, share and keep the files you use with the app, including files other people send you.
- Rename and delete act on the real file on your device. A deleted document is removed from your device, not moved to a bin, and the app cannot bring it back. Keep backups of anything you cannot afford to lose.
- A file you open from another app is copied into the app’s private storage. Deleting it in the app deletes only that copy.
5Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the app to break the law or to infringe anyone’s copyright, privacy or other rights;
- copy, sell, rent, sublicense or redistribute the app, or publish it under another name;
- decompile, reverse engineer or modify the app, except as far as applicable law allows despite this restriction;
- remove or change any copyright, trademark or other notice in the app; or
- get around or interfere with any security feature of the app or of Android.
6Storage access
To list your documents, the app needs your permission to read storage. You decide how much to allow: all files, a single folder, or nothing. You can withdraw access at any time in Android’s settings. If you do, the app stops showing the files it can no longer reach. The Privacy Policy explains each option.
7How documents are shown
The app displays documents with its own viewer, not with the programs that created them. A document may therefore look different from how it looks in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat or another program. Layout, fonts, colours and page breaks can differ, and some content is not shown at all. In particular:
- older
.doc,.xlsand.pptfiles are listed but not opened; - pictures inside PowerPoint slides are not drawn, although the slide text and speaker notes are shown;
- the app reads documents but does not edit, sign or annotate them.
Before you rely on a document for anything important, such as a contract, a figure in a spreadsheet or a medical or legal record, check it in the program that created it.
8Other apps and services
The app passes things to other software only when you ask it to. Share uses Android’s share sheet and the app you pick, Feedback or suggestion opens your email app, and Rate us opens Google Play. Those apps and services are provided by others under their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.
If you got the app from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service also apply to your download.
9Open-source software
The app is built with open-source software, including Flutter, PDFium and SQLite. Each component is provided under its own licence terms, and nothing in these terms limits your rights under them.
10Ownership and trademarks
The app, its name and its icon belong to us, apart from the open-source components described in section 9.
Microsoft, Word, Excel and PowerPoint are trademarks of Microsoft Corporation. Adobe and Acrobat are trademarks of Adobe Inc. Android and Google Play are trademarks of Google LLC. These names are used only to describe the files the app opens. The app is not made, endorsed or supported by any of these companies.
11Updates and availability
We may update the app to fix problems, add or remove features, or meet Android and store requirements. You may need to install an update to keep using the app, and we may stop offering the app altogether.
The app is currently free. If we ever charge for it or for part of it, the price will be shown before you pay, and the store’s terms will govern the payment.
12No warranty
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied. This includes warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not promise that the app will be free of errors, open every file or work on every device.
13Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages. Nor are we liable for any loss of data, documents, profits or business that arises from your use of the app, or from being unable to use it. This includes a file you renamed or deleted, and a document that the app showed differently from the original. Our total liability for any claim about the app is limited to the amount you paid for it, if any.
Some countries do not allow these exclusions or limits, so not all of them may apply to you. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that the law does not allow to be excluded or limited, such as liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
14Ending these terms
You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. Your licence ends automatically if you break these terms. Sections 4, 7, 10, 12, 13 and 16 continue to apply after it ends.
15Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page, and we will mention significant changes in the app’s release notes. If you keep using the app after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms. If you do not accept them, uninstall the app.
16Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the country where DocuNest is established, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If you use the app as a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in its courts.
If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. If we do not enforce a term straight away, we have not given up the right to enforce it later.
